Unfortunately, no one on the selection committee will come right out and say it, but they OBVIOUSLY looked at Tennessee as the last #1 seed, but the committee felt that they were doing UT a "favor" by seeding them a #2 and sending them to Charlotte, about 4 hours from Knoxville? Would they rather be a #1 seed and playing in Phoenix or Michigan...or in Houston against Texas for that matter? I think not. <BR/><BR/>Same goes for Wisconsin. They could have made them the last #2 seed and had them play UNC in Charlotte or UCLA in Phoenix, but instead, the committee sent them just over to Detroit as the #3. It really is a better situation for their fans and their team if you ask me.<BR/><BR/>If someone on the committee would just come out and tell the truth, and say that this is how why they seeded teams like UT and Wisconsin this way, I think a lot of the questions would go away.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
