Dana's Back for More...

Nice to see ole Dana back at work after her alcohol raged rant against Notre Dame and Jesus Christ....Of course, the ND slam is one thing, the Jesus thing...let's just say I wouldn't want to be standing next to her during an electrical storm! The real issue here was where was the outrage? Did anyone at the event have the stones to stand up and slam her?
And as to the punishment...Rush Limbaugh comments on a perception of media bias towards Donavan McNabb...FIRED! Ben Wright discusses a woman's physical drawbacks in the golf swing....FIRED! Jimmy the Greek discusses (out in a club) genetics of the black athlete....FIRED! Kelly Tilghman mistakenly uses an offense term in discussing Tiger Woods' domination in golf....and gets the wrath of Rev. Al Sharpton while Tiger gets blasted by Jim Brown for not blasting his friend! Seems a bit inconsistent....

Jim Brown has alot of hate in his heart in my opinion. Its guys like him that sit in a resturant and order a steak and send it back to the kitchen over and over and over again simply because he will never be satisfied no matter how good the food actually is. What Im saying to everyone is this guy is never going to be happy with anything and He shouldnt be allowed on Television until He is treated for his depression and makes a promise to stay positive.

Dear Mr. Brown thanks for the memories and The Past that you gave all of our Parents and Grandparents through the years But give it up and Tell someone your feelings that really cares. WOULD YOU LIKE SOME CHEESE WITH YOUR WINE????

Hey Trey boro. Jim Brown has all the right in the world to express his true feelings. Do some home work on Jim Brown and you will see why he's so angry. The man's collegiate and profesional career was cut short because of racism. Jim brown has done a lot for intercity youth. What has tiger done?

Tohm:
Please stop trying to place the race card on your show. How many more months do you have left on your contract? My grade so far is d-

J, I have a ton of respect for the work that Jim Brown has done with his Amer-I-Can program with gangs, but don't cut Tiger short. His foundation has done more, for more, than JB will ever do! As for the race card...I don't "Play it", it's out there and I take the issues on square. Finally, I appriciate your concern for my contract, but since the show has shown remarkable growth over the past few months, I afraid I'm going to be around for a while. But I do appriciate your continued support!

I just don't understand it... Listen, was the girl being racially insensitive when she made the comment about Tiger? Maybe... Was she thinking clearly? Probably not... Was she and is she a racist? HELL NO! Hind sight is an amazing thing...
More people in America are afraid of public speaking, than of death. Thats fact. This girl is put in the spotlight every day at her job. Unlike (your name here), who works down at the (your place of employment), if she messes up, she can't hide it. It doesn't get caught later by someone else (who probably gets paid to fix it) like (name of that guy/girl who always has your back at work goes here). People mess up... It part of the species... You think Thomas Edison created the light bulb in one try?

Dana however... I know atheists who wouldn't say something that messed up... Who do you think you are lady? I wouldn't even say that to someone I knew, no matter what there skin color. Here is a question Thom-
If she had said "expletive" Tiger! do you think she would still be employed?
How about "expletive" Tom Brady! white guy...
You see, its not about the person they say it about... Its about the skin color. And who do you think is getting upset over that?

Rev. Jesse Jackson can shove it for all I care. Do I owe him anything? Do I try and keep him down?

Sure, some people will always be afraid of someone or something that is different. But I don't owe anyone anything that hasn't even met me. I could care less what color your skin is. If you are a person of character and respect and a hard working man... I will treat you as if you were my own blood.
Does that make what either said "ok"? -no

But it makes it a lot less harmful. By making color an issue, The Rev. is pulling people apart. Why make an issue about something that isn't? If you let it go, did you ever think that maybe people will actually be able to forget it and move on? Or is that it? We can never move on? We can never try and forget such a dark time?

I am so sick of this political correctness... Grow up people... Some people have black skin, some white... some yellowish... How does that determine who they are when they get out of bed that morning?

I know I don't hold the popular opinion on this issue, but give Jacobson a break already. By all accounts, she had been swilling vodka all night, and she was hammered. It's no excuse for what she said, but I honestly don't believe she meant "F Jesus." I think she meant "F Notre Dame" and "F Touchdown Jesus", but it was an unfortunate slip of the tongue. I can think of several instances where something comes out of my mouth that I didn't mean after a few too many beers. It happens.

This country (and any religion for that matter) are built on forgiveness...forgiveness of our sins. Dana Jacobson has apologized, she got suspended for a week, and she appears heartily sorry. Let's do what JC does and forgive and forget!

And her punishment doesn't "jive" with all of the other that you listed because the unfortunate act wasn't committed on national television. In fact, it appears that there were no camera's even at the event. I think we all know that if the event had been televised, Jacobson would be looking for work right now.

Unfortunately what has truly been lost in all this is how we the listeners are effected. I listen to ESPN every day from 3-4am as I wake up for work. Because Dana decided to do/say what she did/said, I along with whomever else shares the overnight shift with me, were all forced to bear the immediate brunt of it...something far worse then any suspension...Jason smith filled in for Dana, and we all had to suffer with Amy Lawrence for an entire week! I ask you all...who really suffered that week, Dana or the rest of the country?

People are sooooo overreacting to Dana Jacobson's "rant." It was at a roast, fry crying out loud; you don't take anything seriously that's said there, people are trying to be outrageous. If she said it in the course of her professional work that would be one thing, but it wasn't...
